Don’t Let Nobody Turn You Around

I've decided that since I lack creativity and I can't think of good titles when I write about nothingness I'll just title my posts with the names of songs by Steve Miller.

Anyway, I took the FE (the Fundementals of Engineering exam) on Saturday, I think it went ok, I guess I'll find out in June. I think that I psyched myself out too much, I'm glad I studied, but when I was sitting there tapping my pencil waiting for them to pass out the test, I just about puked. And then after the test I realized it wasn't as bad as I expected, not easy, but I got through it.

I got home and changed and the Camfields picked me up and we went to the UC Track and Field reunion dinner, it was in conjunction with the Southern Ohio Cup, which I was unable to go to because I was taking the test. The dinner was good, I saw a couple of people that I hadn't seen in a while. Lewis Johnson, our 800 meter record holder and tv broadcaster for NBC (he does Olympic track and field and Notre Dame football games and some other stuff) was the MC. It was fun to listen to stories of various people from years past. Ted Corbett was there, our only Olympian. He was in the 1952 Olympics in the marathon and at one point held the World record for the 25 mile, 50 mile, 100 mile, and 24 hour run all at the same time.

Reis was there, which was cool, I hadn't seen him in a while. I think that I will go watch the Flying Pig, just so I can see him win. He went 2:27 in the Chicago Marathon, but the Flying Pig is a lot harder course. It will be cool if he makes the team in 2008, it will give me a reason to go to Beijing.

I got back and then decided to go to Mulligans to celebrate being done with the FE. Overall it was fun, but that will probabaly be the last time I do that for a while.

Sunday I ushered at church and then went to Tommy's for lunch. Then I went to help some people move, wasn't planning on doing that, which is why I was wearing flip flops. But Brandie bought us ice cream afterward, which was cool.

Now I just have to get some work done, but I don't feel like doing anything... I think that it's post FE burn out or something.

I think not wanting to do work is called "senioritis"

you seem very fysically fit. I'm sure you passed the FE exam.

hehe.
