This is My Job...

It's had it's good points... it's had it's bad points... but I suppose all jobs do. I decided to post a "photo essay"of the last 9 months of my work and hopefully provide you with a brief glimpse into this part of my world.

Enjoy...

This is a flow monitor. It uses a Dopplar signal to measure depth and velocity of flow in a pipe and then uses the parameters of the pipe to calculate the flow (Q=VA).

These little guys collect data 24/7. The data obtained is compiled and used to figure out what exactly is going on in a system and Engineers use the data in design.

One of the things that our company does is install and maintain these monitors and analyze the data collected.

This is the inside of a sewer... I am standing inside of it.

This is Eric coming out of a manhole, which I described in a previous post...

Opening a manhole... MMS

This was not a good day... Eric tried to capture the frustration on myself and Saa's faces

Dave was not happy to be out sampling early in the morning

Whack-a-mole

I just like this picture

Bored at work

There are two things that I am excited about today as I try and make it through an interminably long, boring day at work:

1) My new wireless card should arrive in the mail today... so I should finally have internet at my house for the first time since I moved in back in September

2) Huggy Bear is coming to the Big East!!! This should make the UC/WVU games interesting.

Peace Out
